How Do I Lodge a TAC Claim?

Are you eligible for a TAC claim?

How Do I Lodge a TAC Claim?

1. Generally you have 12 months to lodge a TAC (transport accident commission) claim either from the date of accident or from the date you became aware of injury. In certain circumstances TAC will accept a claim up to three years from the date of accident provided there were reasonable grounds for delay.

2. If you were injured in a transport accident, a report must be made to the police or, if relevant, to the train or tram operator.

3. A claim can be lodged online or by phone (1300 654 329).
